Since the water pump started running, the community has been in full-force to implement a new meter system whereby when complete, the funds collected from the water purchase will be used to maintain the wind pump in the future. In addition, trees have planted to commemorate the conservation efforts as a first step towards encouraging resource management in the town.

Of the biggest priority, the nurse, CHW, and driver have worked together for the past two weeks to educate the community, especially mothers and children, on proper hygiene and sanitation methods. Since the cholera outbreak this year, the topic has been of high priority. With the wind pump finally fixed, and program being put in place for proper water management, the hope is that similar outbreaks can be averted in the future.
